Starting to encrust at the base and new polyps. Beautiful blue color in real life

 

I have mine under T5s mainly blue plus and around 350 par

 

Getting great polyp extension and good color!

 

Wow that’s crazy polyps! How do you get them to extend that much??!!

 

And if anyone has any tips on what they are doing or their parameters they are keeping theirs at and would like to post that would be really helpful to me. This is my first “designer” acro

 

I wish I knew!!! I've always struggled with getting polyp extension. My cali tort - one of my centerpieces - and many folks here have frags of it - I have almost no polyp extension. Yet it start to have have polyp extension when placed in other folks talks. Go figure. My best guess is flow. @Sponge - has always told me I need more flow. I have been increasing flow over the last couple of years - and I now have polyp extension of several of my new pieces - like the OP. My sunset milli has huge polyp extension as does my walt disney. Maybe even a bit on my cali tort.

 

My OP decided to RTN last night.. time for water changes and to figure out why. Sad day

 

October post. Lens kit came today, so hoping to improve my filter skills before the next post!

Sept to Nov pics. She battled through the RTN and is still growing. Encrusting and growing some new polyps on the other side

 

Looks like you are doing something right!

 

Can see a little growth on the chalice.
