I just got turned on to the drop box service. It is basically like Apple's Mobile ME cloud where you can sync your data between a virtually unlimited number of machines over the net. I will be using it to sync important documents and the like between my phone, laptop, and desktops. The free version gives 2 gigs of space, or you can pay monthly for 50 and 100 gig slots. The cool thing is that you can refer people. Every person that signs up from the referred link (and installs the PC or Mac version of the client) gets an added 250mb of space free. The same goes for the person who did the invite. Once you have signed up you can send your own invites (up to a total of 8GB of additional space free, giving you a total of 10GB of space). I am adding a link with my referral on it. If you are interested you can get started with 2.25 gigs of space rather than just 2! So far I like it a lot. Works great with iPhone and I believe there are BlackBerry and Android apps for it as well. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTY3MTQ4Mzg5
No problem. It's pretty nice. Been messing around with it and have had no issues. Will be able to give it a better test run when we go on our trip. I will try to pull data while on the road. See how well it works when it NEEDS to work. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif
